Kete Aronui provides flexible spaces for people to develop, rehearse and teach, meet and create, connect and collaborate. Our spaces are available 24 hours a day, and provide a blank canvas for you to use for your gathering, meeting or workshop.
Our mission is to make it easy for creatives, performers, practitioners and educators to meet and create together.
When you book the room, you will be given a time-bound code for access to your booked space. We will charge a callout fee ($10) if you require assistance outside of our office hours (9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday to Friday). Once your booking has been accepted, if you need to change the date, time or room you have booked there is a $5 Booking Change Fee.
Please be mindful of others using the space at the same time – you are welcome to bring in speakers, but please keep the volume at a respectful level. When there are shows on at The Factory Theatre, you will be asked to keep noise levels down so as not to impact the performances.
There is a corridor and waiting area outside of each room, with shared seating. Your guests are welcome to use this space, but please be quiet and mindful of the rooms in use. Please note that Kete Aronui is a fully smoke and vape-free venue at all times.
Bookings are made on the hour, with a two-hour minimum. Please ensure you have left enough pack in and pack out time for your booking, including stacking the chairs and cleaning the floor after your session – this needs to be completed within your booked time. Vacuums and brooms are available in each room. This is a zero waste facility – you must take all rubbish with you. If you leave waste behind, we will apply a $50 cleaning fee to your booking.
The low rate is for unfunded communities, NGOs or individuals.
No food or drink is to be consumed in the rehearsal rooms.
If you are a fully funded organisation or charity or charge for your class or workshop, please add the ‘Fully funded rate top up tariff’ to your booking at checkout.
If you are a commercial organisation please add the ‘Commercial rate top up tariff’ to your booking at checkout.
If your booking is within 24 hours please also pay our Urgent booking fee $10.
